The Natural City is a temporary sculpture exhibition in Roanoke’s Elmwood Park Art Walk. Ten sculptures will be displayed for 18 months along the axis adjacent to the Roanoke Public Library and stretching from the South Jefferson Street Entrance of the recently reimagined park and concert venue.

Artists were selected in a competitive process including both existing pieces and site specific work created just for this location and exhibition. Artists are from around the country and around our region. The works were featured in the 2015 Festival in the Park weekend.  The public voted for their favorite sculpture during the weekend. The winner has not yet been announced.

  1. Art and public art is very important. I am so happy to see Roanoke doing this! I would also like to see more permanent installations and murals on buildings.
